This afternoon, the Premier announced that schools would not reopen for students in June and that the school-year would continue with distance learning. This decision came from the advice of Dr. David Williams, Ontario’s Chief Medical Officer of Health and the experts at the COVID-19 command table.

At this time, we can confirm the following:

  • Students who were on track to graduate from high school before schools were closed in March will graduate,
  • All students will receive report cards
  • Board Operated Extended Day Programs remain closed

We know our students, families and staff will have questions about what this latest announcement means for them. We are working closely with the Ministry of Education and will update you as we learn more.

Please watch our website and social media channels for information updates as they become available.
