We will have two opportunities to come together as a school community to honour Remembrance Day next week.

On Monday, November 9 from 1:30-2:30 we are hosting Mr. Ronald Gross, a Canadian Armed Forces Veteran, along with two UN Peacekeepers, who will join us in our gym. Mr. Gross was awarded the Minister of Veterans Affairs Commendation in October 2014, for his work speaking to students in their schools and for his work with veterans and their families. Mr. Gross’ presentation will focus on WWI, and the important Canadian figures during that time period. In addition, he will speak about the significance of November 11 and the two minutes of silence observed annually in Canada on that day.

On Wednesday, November 11 from 10:20-11:05, we will have our Remembrance Day Ceremony in the Gym.

Parents, Guardians and community members are most welcome to attend either or both events and join us in honouring Remembrance Day.
