Our Student Parliament here at Margaret Avenue have taken on a great cause to support local students new to our region! Since the start of 2016, the WRDSB Welcome Centre has been providing new backpacks to all newcomers to Canada who are in need of a backpack when they begin attending a WRDSB school.  We have already given out almost 200 backpacks, but we are all out and are looking for individuals or groups who are interested in helping us to re-stock.  The Welcome Centre will happily take donations of new water bottles and lunch bags as well. We will be accepting these donations until the end of June.

To donate to the Welcome Centre, please contact 519-576-3018 to arrange to drop off or feel free to drop any items off at our main office!

The entrance to the Welcome Centre is on Wellington Street; please ring the access bell for entry.
