We are pleased to share that the Fundraising efforts of our students, staff and greater Margaret Avenue Community has been featured on the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation’s website! October is Breast Cancer Action Month and we are so proud of the time, effort and sincere care that was put into our fundraiser last spring.

Last spring, four students; Sarah Elop, Melody Riad, Natalia Emmerson and Evelyn Ysselstein, came together and combined their ideas to create the school’s first ever Silent Auction and Talent Show, in support of the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation. They volunteered on school breaks, evenings and weekends leading up to the big day to plan, organize and run the event.

None of this would have been able to happen without the perseverance, determination and guidance of our beloved teacher Leanne Breckles who worked tirelessly with the girls and the staff to make the vision a reality!

Way to go, Mavericks!
